All persons admitted to the use of the library are subject to observe the following rules and regulations:
- No library material shall be taken away from the premises
- Good order and quietness shall be maintain in all reading rooms
- Readers must conduct themselves in and orderly manner in the library
- Eating and drinking are forbidden in the library building except in canteen
- Refreshment, ink bottles and any other material which may accidentally damage library property must not be brought into the library
- Smoking is strictly prohibited in the library
- The library shall not receive any telephone call or mail on behalf of readers/members
- Readers or member will not introduce visitors in the Library without the permission of the Chief Librarian
- Readers shall leave their personal belongings such as books, brief cases, hand bags etc. at the entrance of the main hall of the library, these belongings will be required to submit for inspection while leaving the library
- Private calls will not be allowed from official telephones
- The Board of Governors has the power to modify these regulation
- Books will not be marked with ink or pencil and readers will be responsible for any damage to books or other reading material
- Mobile phones must be on silent mode
- No seat is reserved for members, If a seat remains vacant for 30 minutes, it can be occupied by any other member
